Position Overview:
The Component Overhaul Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and overhauling various aircraft components to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. This role typically focuses on repair and overhaul dynamic aircraft components. The Component Overhaul Technician ensures these components are thoroughly tested, cleaned, and reassembled after repairs or upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

Overhaul & Maintenance

  • Perform overhauls, inspections, and repairs on a variety of aircraft components.
  • Conduct detailed disassembly, inspection, cleaning, repair, and reassembly of components to ensure they meet operational standards.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify complex issues on aircraft components, ensuring their functionality and safety.
  • Adhere to manufacturers’ specifications, guidelines, and regulatory requirements when overhauling components.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all inspections, overhauls, and repairs, ensuring compliance with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and company standards.
  • Document all work completed and provide reports to relevant departments to track the status and history of components.
  • Ensure proper certification of components post-overhaul as required by aviation regulations.

Safety & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all overhaul tasks are performed with strict adherence to safety protocols and industry best practices.
  • Identify and resolve any safety concerns related to component overhauls.
  • Maintain high standards of quality assurance throughout the overhaul process, ensuring that all components are in optimal working condition upon completion.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineers, maintenance managers, and other technicians to coordinate tasks and share expertise.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing to the identification of process improvements and best practices.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in component overhaul, preferably with Bell, MD Helicopters, Robinson Helicopters, and Airbus Helicopters.
  • Factory training courses and certifications for specific aircraft components are advantageous.
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft components, including engines, avionics, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Attributes

  • Previous experience in performing overhauls on various aircraft components.
  • Familiarity with aviation maintenance software and tracking systems.
  • Strong focus on safety and quality in all maintenance activities.

Working Conditions

Position Overview:
The Administration and Technical Support role is responsible for providing administrative and technical support to ensure the efficient operation of Mt Hutt Aviation’s daily activities. This position involves a combination of office administration, data management, compliance support, and technical coordination to assist the engineering and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Manage correspondence, emails, and phone calls, directing inquiries as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and filing systems.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and internal communications.
  • Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and distribute follow-up actions.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and assist with financial documentation.

Technical Support

  • Assist with maintaining aircraft maintenance records and compliance documentation.
  • Support the engineering team with data entry and tracking of work orders.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement of parts and materials.
  • Assist in the development and updating of technical manuals, checklists, and procedures.
  • Help coordinate training sessions and maintain training records.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all documentation aligns with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining the Safety Management System (SMS) by tracking reports and corrective actions.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Communicate with clients and service providers regarding scheduling and administrative matters.
  • Assist with customer service, ensuring a professional and efficient response to inquiries.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in administration, technical support, or a similar role, preferably in aviation or a technical industry.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant aviation software.
  • Knowledge of aviation maintenance and compliance requirements (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Attributes

  • Familiarity with aviation regulations and technical documentation.
  • Experience working in an aviation maintenance, engineering, or operational environment (advantageous).
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.

Working Conditions
